Another recurring summon within the franchise, Odin is an entity most suited to cleaving the battlefield in twain with his blade Zantetsuken, often riding on his horse Sleipnir, who bears a negligable amount of legs. Eight is a normal amount for a horse, right? What about six? Originally appearing in FFIII, Odin doesn't appear in every game, though his presence has become more important in later titles, granting him more personality than is typically offered summoned beings.

In XIV, Odin is once again a Primal, albeit one that roams the land instead of summoned by tribes of Spoken. He appears in the Shroud indiscriminately, bearing the likeness of whoever was lucky enough to deal the killing blow last time (though he can also be fought as a contained trial that is measures easier than the FATE he spawns in on the overworld). His armour Herklaedi can also be won from beating him in either battle. Beyond this, he has no story presence.

Odin stands at around 29cm tall on a base about 4cm tall. He's particularly monochrome - the reds are very deep and don't stand out unless bright natural light is shining on them. The actual figure of Odin is rather small and understated compared to Sleipnir and Gugnir. Unlike other figures, there's a noticable metal rod that keeps him propped upright and sturdy. Gugnir is quite malleable, and I worry every time I put hands on him that it'll snap. How it didn't on the long journey I took getting him home, I'll never know. Sleipnir stands on a piece of Shroud rock that features a couple of mushrooms. Cute.

Upon closer inspection, Odin wields not one but two weapons - the spear Gugnir and the sword Zantetsuken, and on his left arm is the shield Skjoldr. His face is entirely obscured by his helmet.
